Into Traditions

We invite you to an exciting journey inside the Heart of Baku – Icheri Sheher.

Old town is surrounded by impressive external stone walls.  Massive double gates introduce you the world where centuries interweave. You will explore medieval Caravanserais (Multani, Bukhara, Smaller, Two-Stored), traditional mosques with calligraphic facades (Juma, Sinyg Gala), trading streets with unique atmosphere. You will head to the top of the Maiden Tower famous for its stories and legends behind; you will walk along Hamams with strict centuries-old traditions, houses of merchants and artists of different epochs. Finally you will discover the Shirvan Shakhs Palace that was built in XIV-XV centuries by the dynasty of rulers who changed the whole history of Baku.



Enjoy the process of cooking the traditional delicious kutabs (flatbreads with fillings: meat, herbs). The professional kutab-maker will show you the simple but grabbing technique and then you will be able to make it on your own using all your creativity!

The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum is the treasury of Azerbaijan national Culture. Established for researching, keeping and displaying carpets and carpet items, as well as applied art works, the Museum has the most large collection of Azerbaijan carpets in the world. Different weaving techniques display, materials, regional schools and pictorial carpets will enchant the visitors. 



Walk along a seaside boulevard to the remains of Sabayil Fortress. 

Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the largest commercial, cultural and scientific center in the Caucasus region, and the largest port on the Caspian Sea.


Baku is located in the South of Absheron peninsula, on the coast of the Caspian Sea, on the 40 ° parallel. Baku is one of the biggest cities in the East with its antiquity, territory and population, which now covers 150 sq.km and goes out along the sea bay with approximately 20 km. The capital's population is about 3 million.


People inhabited since very ancient times in the city of Baku and Absheron peninsula and created here settlements. The capital city Baku is famous for its Boulevard, Fountain Square, the State Flag Square, the newly constructed "Flame Towers", "Crystal Hall" where the "Eurovision" song contest was held, modern  cultural center - "Heydar Aliyev" which is one of the world's 5 best architectures, architectural buildings as mosques, sandy shores and beaches.
